I have written to you regarding the box but have not yet heard from you. Of course, it is not necessary to proceed with any planning just yet, as it is still wintertime in our part of the world, and neither entry nor exit would be possible any time before commencement of the thaw. But please keep in mind that we will need to plan your voyage at some point before too much time elapses.
I have some further information about the box, in case you are interested. I told you that the contents do not move in the box because they seem to be packed inside quite nicely and tightly. However, the box is heavy for its size. I think it must be something made of metal or crystal. In addition, I believe it is something valuable, or something at least delicate or fragile, because I noticed that a small bit of purple soft protective velvet is peeking out of the box (I suspect that the last person to close the box didn’t push all of the velvet back into the box before closing it). Probably, the entire contents of the box are carefully wrapped in this purple cloth.
In case I have not yet mentioned it, I am also a scientist and inventor. Some people like to call me an “evil” scientist, but I dispute this label. I do not believe myself to be evil; however, I have embarked on some rather strange experiments in the past, some of which do tend to upset those not fully familiar with my endeavors. As a scientist, I have some very sophisticated equipment in my laboratory, some of which is secret. One of my favorite pieces of equipment is my scanning electron microscope. This lets me see things really close up, and I can even see atoms and molecules! I decided to slice off a tiny bit of the purple velvet protruding from the box, and look at it in my microscope. I was very excited by what I found!
I must go now. Time is short. I will be posting further information for you soon. If any of this helps you determine the contents of this box, please contact me as soon as possible.
Best,
G. Choppers
