Beware of those who claim to know the contents of the box. You should know that as more people find out that you are in possession of this mysterious and magical box, they too will desire to know what is inside, and to make the box their own. They will attempt to fool you with stories and legends, hoping that somehow you might allow them to get close to you. It is only then that they will take from you the box and its contents. Please be careful.

I read your reply with great pleasure. I am happy to know you have planned this so well. You are quite clever, Samantha. I am particularly impressed with your idea of using the wires to suspend the box in order to avoid touching it or disturbing its contents. I am looking forward to the day when you will come so that I can meet you. However, now that winter is upon us, it won’t be possible for you to come or for you to send anyone before the spring, as the snow has begun to fall and now the mountain where I live is unreachable from the outside world.

Today I was examining the box some more. I still do not know what is inside it, but I can tell you that it is made of dark wood, and it’s kind of rough on the outside. There is a combination lock that looks very old, and I have not tried to unlock it yet (remember, it’s your box). Whatever is inside the box is quite heavy, and it must be packed nicely because it doesn’t make any sound when I move the box.
